The Essential Grassroots Communication System

The Essential Grassroots Communication System is Dr. Yolonda Holmes' initiative to improve access to critical community information by creating an inclusive, grassroots communication network that connects residents with essential resources, services, and civic opportunities. By leveraging existing public communication channels, digital displays, community organizations, and trusted local partners, the project seeks to deliver timely, relevant, and accessible information directly to underserved communities. Through two-way communication, localized messaging, and community collaboration, the initiative aims to strengthen civic participation, increase awareness of public resources, and empower residents to make informed decisions that improve the health and well-being of their communities.
