🗳️ What does "down-ballot" mean? Here’s a definition, and why it matters for your vote! 👇 When you look at your ballot, high-profile races like President or Governor are usually right at the top ("top of the ticket"). But if you keep reading, you’ll find more races down-the-ballot! These may include elections for local and state offices like City Council, State Attorney General, or State Supreme Court Justices. Why should you care? 💥 Local Impact: These roles directly shape policies in your daily life, from local judges to city budget decisions. 💥 Higher Vote Power: Fewer people finish their entire ballot. When you research and complete every race, your vote carries even more weight! Don't leave your ballot half-blank. Start researching who and what will be on your ballot a few weeks before any and every election. Request an official sample ballot (specific to you) online at NCSBE.gov or contact your local County Board of Elections. Then you can research every office before you vote. 💡 This has been brought to you by @civilitylocalized and @progressionimpactgroup.
